Old Establishment, Present Tense

Summers in Newport, debutante balls, the WASP preserved in amber: there are plenty of studies of the fabled American Establishment, nearly all of them written in the past tense. We’ve conducted years of fieldwork and data gathering to build a closely observed, inside account of High Society in the 21[^st] century, including the private clubs, hereditary societies, and individuals and families that still comprise the Old Establishment.

We approach this work with the discretion the subject deserves: an American history written about and primarily for people who care about their place in it, even when keeping one’s name out of print is a point of family pride.
